Miznon Restaurants

Following its international success, the Miznon brand of street-food restaurants was coming to Australia. EPI was invited to develop Australian concept for the first restaurant in Melbourne’s Hardware Lane.

The design concept included opening up of the shopfront to Hardware lane to allow the street to spill into the restaurant. The split levels provided the perfect opportunity to gently cascade the street down towards the lower ground. The created amphitheatre provided steps as well as seating overlooking the theatrical food preparation process. The use of raw materials and the inclusion of industrial fittings complimented the casual, street-food spontaneous atmosphere to the dining experience.
